created for Conceptart.org's Industrial Design of the Week: [link]
this week's topic was to create and show the internals of a vehicle. be it a space station, car, tank, etc. i chose the apc i drew for Res-wR which can be found here: [link]
i mainly chose this vehicle because it was simple, and having never done this before, i didn't want to over-extend myself. this is the first picture i have ever done that was lined and rendered in photoshop. usually i do all my lines in sketchbook pro. this is something that i think might be changing.
other than that, here is the copy/paste description used in the submission.
"designed for light action, peace keeping and medivac, this apc's rear cargo was designed for the maximum amount of modularity. the bay of the rear includes a rail system allowing a large variety of cargo to be stored. demonstrated here is a standard crew attachment with room for 8 soldiers. the two closest to the front man the upper turret and navigate while the 6 others can fire from their position inside or can slide down the firing slit's armored shields and take a break.
only wish I could design vehicles like this
A great design, makes you want to invade Mars or whatever
i believe you will the future superb armored specialist
so at that dont forget me
