What sort of ammunition does it use, and what sort of firing mechanism and propellants are we talking here? any other tidbits?
-- Phoenix Clothes Come and Check It Out! "Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own."-Robert Heinlein very nice design... I like the enlarged handle... probablt offers greater stability when firing a burst... Which is insane in and of itself if this gun is of any caliber higher than a 9mm... It looks like probably either a .357 or maybe even a .50, that is, if it's to have any stopping power, which it needs if it's for a Merc.
anyways, enough shop talk... I love the design, very good, very smooth. Though I think the selector switch should be behind the trigger for easy access by the thumb... right now it'd be a pain to switch one-handed. P.S. One last nitpick(sorry), the ejection port should be further forward, almost to the point where the slide starts in the pic(above and in front of the trigger), otherwise there's no room for a cartridge to be grabbed while still having a hammer(even internal) to strike it. I'll stop now. -- ~~~ "I'll dream you up on this vast dark bed/believe I loved you for each hair upon the back of your neck/And I want to kiss you but I can't/Down on the river by the sugar plant." -Mike Doughty "Down on the River by the Sugar Plant" haha, this is why i need to know more about guns
im like an armchair designer "ah yeah, lets put in that and this, kuz it looks cool!" you mention the caliber being large and you are indeed correct. the design called for a 'large caliber weapon capable of penetrating light to medium armor" and that Mikhail could handle the recoil... so i really didn't have to figure a way around that (score) the selector switch i will admit could be more functional where you mention, but it fits in design wise where it is... furthermore the selector is mirrored on the other side of the gun so it is plausible that you could hit it with your index finger - but honestly i know what your saying curse you and your physical knowledge!!! um... i put the ejection port there kuz um... it looks right thank you seriously for this critique! i try sometimes more than others to maintain a level of functionality and your working knowledge helps allot! -- -Contact me for commission info- -AIM: Legato895- -Email: commissions@michaelkingery.com- |
