same guy, same idea... heres my first horse i have ever done, and guess what? its a robot too! lol, anyway, a reference shot was used off of google for the outline/shape and stuff, but yeah... theres not much floating around the net involving horses, and mechanical work (not to mention steampunk)... anyway, my next shot after inking this is a "medium sized hunting dog" and this is no ordinary dog... this is also a steampunk dog! anyway, if this doesn't look horse-like, tell me, hopefully i can fix it . or, just comments in general
sheeet thats cool, the face is a bit "my little pony" looking but it looks quit functional. When the shit goes down in 2012 I bet youll be building this shit for real! lol
I love your mechanical elements...You've really taken the ball of biomechanix and run with it. High five, man. The leg-to-torso ratio seems a bit skewed, but that's cool; afterall, it's a /robotic/ horse, right?
I like the Armour , and since it was the first time you drew a horse , i suggest you keep on studying it more , because horses are a very great subject to put on paper. I used to do a lot of them in the past , since i was doing a lot of medieval stuff.
As someone said here , you gotta pay more attention to the horse´s nose, that i a very important part of the animal , and , besides that , watch out for those rear legs.
Hehe. How typical of you. Organics turned to mechanics in your style is very nice.
Might want to draw some real horses, though, then apply them to the mechanical style. It's hard to keep muscle/skeletal structure in mind when there isn't any such thing to be mindful to. As has been said before, the snout is a bit wonky. Horses have more narrow heads. They get wide around the eyes, then curve in, then curve out in a ball for the nose. I'm sure a bit more studing of references will fix that right up. Very creative designs, too. Great work.
