yeah yeah, i didn't want to name this guy "robot 2" kuz thats boring :D... stupid thing wouldn't let me put an exclimation point :(

anyway, this is the OTHER end of the spectrum. using techniques that i field tested on my sketchbook robot piece, i took it into the spectrum of traditional. anyway, prisma markers, a white colored pencil and a brush style micron about sum this up. i got so carried away that i forgot to color in the last orange caution strip! oh well, its done in real life, but i don't feel like re-scanning and re-stitching.

if i could change anything it would be the right arm. with where it is, i can't do anything cool with it and yeah... but he looks like a boxer!

i have another piece coming around the pike, and if it wasn't for that i may have attempted a background :D

anyway... im in this weird rounded armor robot mood right now, so ill just ride it. and no i haven't forgotten, its just dragging on and on and on :(

Took me right back to Macross/Mobile Suit mech era, when things would be could be functional, but oh so flashy. And not just pretty.

Any plans for a background? Looks like he's drifting in space traffic after some asshole cut him off. Haha.

thats kick ass man, Im missing some detail in the head, I think it needs some more facial features to add to the character. Also maybe some darker values in the deep parts of the machinery. Great drawing though.

yeah, i kinda got onto a whole "robots don't need faces!" bit for awhile in a failed attempt to dodge the ever increasing difficulty creating new and original faces brought on.

as for the contrast, while the original's offered a bit more of it, i for a reason not yet known didn't have a black marker. in retrospect i could have gotten up and gotten one, but i will take the high road and blame my failure on the scanner and photoshop ;)
