Description

another day, another request from

requested description:

"What I'm looking for is something a little akin to the Power Loader from Aliens, but with more armour to the front, proper (if clumsy) hands instead of those big claw things, and three-sectioned legs with long feet, a bit like a dog's or a kangaroo's rear legs. You'll probably have to make the feet quite large or with spread toes to make it look stable. Basically, a human kneels down in the back, so that the top two sections of the legs fit into the machine's legs and the foot lies down the back of the third section of leg. If you have trouble visualising this I can email you a badly-drawn diagram. The arms fit neatly into the machine's arms. All limbs and parts should be augmented by pneumatics, and the usual steam exhausts/boilers and stuff."

since the style is steampunk, and this is a combat heavy unit i based a lot of the designs from that of steam locomotives, its also less ornamental than some of the other stuff i've done in this series.

also note that i know the foot/ankle joints are very week from a engineering/technical standpoint, i finished the left one (its right) first and than realized that its right foot was at an angle lol... sux 2 be me... so i had to compromise a lot of the joints to make it work... you have no freaking idea how hard it is making a powered combat suit thats powered by steam and pistons... but i hope i did a good job of hiding the questionable joints :D

anyway, inking starts tomorrow pending conformation of design

edit* im not sure if i like the infamous 'loin flaps' :D i may just turn them into 2 solid sheets of rivited steal to make the transition from roman gladiator to... walking train

Very cool. The only thing I can crit is the skirt armor. Doesn't fit very well at all. The rest is very cool, tho I'm still trying to figure out where the guys legs go. >_< (The head area reminds me of a Z'Gok to no end.... it's wierd)
